Reaching out for some clues as to why my friends swap is getting oil in the filter where the breather hose is located. He has a Frankenstein, b20 block with high compression Pistons and b16 head with high performance springs and retainers ported and polished at local machine shop. But I was looking today and noticed no pcv system maybe that's the issue? Any input is appreciated.

 

Properly vent the crankcase and then go from there.

 

Yes. That is the issue. You either need the pcv hookrd back up, or a proper catch can with a one-way check valve..

personally, it's easier to hook the pcv back up.

 

These stupid valve cover breathers do you no good. I've had to correct a b18c5 before swapping it into the ek already.
