Icon4 Cruise Control buttons Light up, Don't maintain speed.

Alright, I am sick of trusting my local mechanics. Here is the scoop. I bought a car with a few issues & i am resolving them. One is as follows:
  1. The cruise control switch (on/off switch on the dash board to the left of the steering column, i will refer to this as the master switch) lights up like it is functioning.
  2. The Cruise set switch (on the steering wheel)when it is is engaged (when the master is on) properly sets the Dash light 'ON' as if it is working.
  3. When those conditions are present, the cruise control doesn't maintain speed.
  4. F$*k me.
  5. I also have an SRS light on, I was told by Dealer that the car was wrecked & the sensors in the seat belt are likely the cause.
  6. How do i Fix this?
    1. Is the Master switch faulty?
    2. Is the SRS disabling the cruise control all together.
THank you!

Joseph.

SRS does not concern the cruise control. My EP3 is doing the same thing, I believe it to be either the CC box (that pulls the cable to the TB) or the throttle body itself.

Check the brake pedal position switch for failure as the CC relies on this switch to deactivate.
