May car has no start. Telltale lights on the instrument panel and headlights do not dim when I turn the key.
If it is battery, the lights go dim, so I doubt?

Checked it. It is fully charged but its conditions not good. I just put some water in the battery.

When I changed the battery, it was starting with shaking and after several starts, it died.
Now when I try to turn it on, there is a smell of gas inside. No clue what's going on.

There's something you're not telling us bruh. If it starts when you jump it from another car like you stated, I can't imagine it would be anything other than the battery. But now you say you changed the battery and and it starts but is shaking then dies.
