2003 honda crv left highbeam will not work
Issue - low beam works on both lights high beam only on the right side.
What I've done
Replaced both bulbs
Swapped Right and Left Headlight bulbs
Swapped Right and Left Headlight relays
Checked both headlight fuses under the hood fuse box
Checked for 12 volts dc
Checked socket with Test light to see if that load would show something (no difference)
Checked light switch and connector in column for any signs of heat or corrosion (nothing)
When on low beam both side pins on light socket will light up the test light.
When on high beam top pin and when facing the plug from front view top pin and right pin have 12 volts
I can't figure out why I can't get it to light up the Highbeam on the Left side.

On the back of your bulb you should have a three PIN plug – This plug provides the earth and positive feed for low and high feed to the bulb – Have you checked that you have both feeds? If you don’t have a feed on one or both of them you need to do a continuity test on the wires – If the wires are okay then you need to check fuses, relay and switch.
Power for both the left high and low beams come through the same headlight relay, fuse, and Red/Yel wire. So, if your left low beam works, it is not an issue with the relay, fuse, or Red/Yel power (+) wire.
Low beam and high beam have different ground (-) sources. Your left high beam not working, would mean an issue on the high beam ground source side, which comes through the Red/Blu wire.
How the Headlights – Canada Circuit Works - High Beams
The headlight relays receive battery voltage at all times. When you turn the headlight switch to the Head position with the dimmer switch in HIGH, ground is applied through the BLU/RED wire to the coils of the headlight relays and through the GRN/WHT wire to the DRL control unit. The relays are then energized, applying battery voltage to the left and right high and low beam headlights through fuses 15 and 17. The high beam filaments and indicator come on because the control unit applies ground through the RED/BLU (cavity 1) and RED/BLK (cavity 11) wires. The low beams remain off because the dimmer switch interrupts their ground path.
It may be an issue with the DRL control unit like the previous poster indicated.

I know this an old thread, but I just want to post my heartfelt thanks for this incredible video and diagnose. I had the exact problem in my 2004 CRV and after replacing the left head light bulb a few hours ago with no luck I started looking for answers and I found this thread. I had the Module out in 30 minutes, resoldered the bad joints, tested it and reinstalled in about 20 minutes. Well worth the effort.

It sure beats wasting a bunch of money at the stealership.
