Now I understand that its a pretty stunningly stupid idea in most cases, but I really need to lift my car. Its in good shape under the hood, and its my first car. Here in the Virgin Islands, its really difficult to find cars that aren't lemons. However, there is one problem.

The roads.

Living in paradise is pretty great, unless you don't have enough clearance. I have to take most roads at 15mph just to swerve around each and every pothole, bump in the road, little rock that's fallen down the hillside, etc. Its miserable to drive like this, and to make it all worse, someone recently crashed into the back right of my car, pressing the chassis down into the wheel well where it now rubs. Somehow, this accident was ruled my fault, so the insurance is gonna be an absolute pain about getting it fixed.

The body is all screwed up all over, and I don't really have any interest in fixing that right now. However, if I could just lift this thing up a couple of inches, my problems would be solved. Unfortunately, wherever I search I cant seem to find the parts to do this. Is it even possible?

Just a thought, but would CRV shocks and struts fit into that chassis... definitely lift the chassis up off the damage and keep you from bottoming on the potholes...
