Where to get the best tune?
I know this is like beating a dead horse, so respectfully please dont post on this thread if all your going to do is talk s***. Anyways I just got my b16a2 swap done on my 98 EK HB and with cams intake and soon to be on the car cx racing turbo kit. With OBD1 conversion. My question is who is the best tuner for the job in the San Antonio and Austin area? Ballpark price ranges too.
I'll leave a response here in a second. TL;DR - Good tuning options are hard to find in our area.
Precision R is decent/acceptable, but they do street tunes only and don't typically use a dyno. They're honest workers though, and not hard to deal with. It'd be worth talking to them. They're in SA. I'll elaborate when I'm back home.

The one thing I will say, is I don't know if they're still in business, but don't use Noribilt. They're amateur hour to the definition.
I've never used JMS racing but I've always been suspect of their tunes from what I've seen other people riding around with. I've also been unimpressed with the dyno plots I've seen from them, the torque curves are always all over the damn place. As a business I think they lack some of a "professional" atmosphere as well.
Boost Logic in Austin would be my #1 recommendation. There's at least one guy there that tunes Honda's, and they do impeccable work and take the time to get things dialed in right. I'm not sure if they'll want to work on an eBay turbo Honda though, and it wouldn't be cheap for them to get the tune.
