Default Why is the EM1 clutch pedal weighted?

Comparing the clutch pedals between my Em1 vs. Ej6 and there are two weights at the base of the Em1 pedal. I can't seem to find any information on the subject. Has anyone seen this or know what advantage this would serve? I can take pics tomorrow, if anyone is curious to see.

Interesting... the clutch pedal part numbers for a '99 DX Coupe and a '99 Si Coupe are the SAME as listed from Honda now, so this is a good question. I will check my cars and see if I can corroborate your experience.

I saw that the part numbers are the same as well. Please do check yours to see if they are similar. Here's pics of the pedals removed from my 99' Si vs. 99' Dx.

Maybe for clutch "feel"? Honda's clutches are really soft from factory so maybe the weighted pedal gave the driver a touch more feeling while driving? I wonder if GSR's and ITR's have the same thing

That sounds about right. I too am curious if those Integra's are weighted.
