I've seen a few cars running around with CV boots with a reflective tape on it. The only tape I can find only really works on metal surfaces... anyone have a source for tape that'll stick to the rubber CV boots?
I've seen tape around ball joint boots, but never CV boots. You could always but the tape on and then zip ties around the boot/tape to keep it in place. Honestly though, I can't see it doing much. If you're overheating your CVs, you probably need to cool your brakes better.

It's not from brakes... it's from a turbo and all the radiant heat from that. I've been on a "heat-wrap everything" kick.
I haven't had a problem yet since I'm running driveshaft shop axles with their road race boots/grease, but figured it couldn't hurt to heat tape the boots too. Fixing problems that doesn't exist, kinda thing.
With the amount of movement, flexibility and RPMs I can't imagine anything that will stick to flexible rubber for long. I use the tape linked above to keep my wheels weights from coming off, but that stuff is not flexible at all.
I don't see ambient air being as much of a problem on CV axles as brake heat transfer through the hubs would be. If you really think it is, what about just ducting some fresh air in from the front bumper?
EFs are pretty space limited for brake ducts in the wheel wells so I am doing something like this to direct air towards the hubs and brakes:
