2007 HONDA CIVIC LX... MYSTERIOUSLY STOPPED SOUNDS... REAR OR SIDES MAKE ZERO SOUND, front left dash only whispers.
This started after Honda dealership broke then fixed ignition switch.
***ALSO, MY AUTO START WORKS WITH KEY FAUB, BUT NOW IT TURNS ON, THEN SHUTS OFF REPEATEDLY UNTIL I PUT KEY IN IGNITION, KEY NO LONGER WORKS ON TRUNK AS WELL.
CAN THE SPEAKER ISSUE BE A DIRECT RESULT OF TAMPERING AROUND IN THE STIRRING COLUMN, WIRING IN THERE OR SOMETHING? I already unplugged rear speaker and tested on a different one... no sound or results.
Stereo is factory... prior to this issue, the volume wasn't as it should be. I used auxiliary for taking calls and I had to have volume at 38 of 40 being maximum.

 

Is your system amplified? Sounds like a bad amp, if it's got bose written on the radio/speakers, that's where I'd put my money (do you have a sub in the trunk? If yes, then it's amplified)

 

I have the same problem is my 07 EX...I just got this so I am unaware of alot the common problems with these...my tweeters in the dash don't work either...this is the factory sys with navigation and it doesn't say BOSE on speakers...I will probably head to my local dealer for an answer tomorrow...
