Default 98 CRV awd 5 spd with Integra type R swap

Aloha i am thinking of buying a 98 CRV 5 spd manual AWD with a type R swap in it. The car seams fun with 200 HP! My question is will the 200 Hp be to much for the AWD system, transfer case or drive live to handle? What problems could i run in to with this set up? Thanks for any replies and knowledge!

The awd system should hold up just fine aslong as you dont launch it heaps by dumping the clutch you more so have to slip it and it should be right also if your from us a 08-2011 honda element diff is a direct bolt in and is much stronger and one crv with a turbo b18c is making over 500 and its holding up well

Hey thanks for the info..i test drove this thing today..i was Not impressed at all it was not that fast at all with 200 Hp. But the engine was not built at all and using the stock 98 crv airbox and exhaust i don't think was much help to it. It was on 15 inch rims with normal tires,i think it was not tuned well something was off.

Its because the original motor for the crv is b20 and they have swapped to a b18 or b16 type r motor loosing abit of torque but its replaced with more kw and higher reving motor i think you should look for a 95-01 crv with a b20 then look at doing the Frankenstein motor which is a b20 bottom with b16a or gsr head so you still keep the torque of the 2.0l and have the top end of the b16a or vtec and a small turbo setup can result in 300hp or more with better torque with the 2.0l bottom but make sure its tuned and low psi unless sleeved
