Picked up some TL-S knuckles. Long story short, drilled out ABS sensor hit the integrated pulse ring with the drill bit. Below is the worst spot. How picky is the sensor? would that nick render the whole wheel bearing to be toast? I do understand how it works by "counting" the notches, which is why I'm worried.

 

If I'm not mistaken, that's not the pulse ring. I could be wrong since I'm not super familiar with those knuckles, but in every car I've ever worked on, Hondas included, the ABS ring is on the axle, not the wheel bearing. Also, I don't see any distinct bumps on that to begin with, that looks like the wheel bearing seal.

 

The TL is supposed to have an integrated magnetic "tone ring" in the wheel bearing according to several articles. The fine little notches are there despite them being hard to see. I know a lot of the older Hondas have the ring on the axel but the TL is not as lucky. I;m just wondering how picky the sensor is, I took the knuckle to Honda and one of the techs there said "try it". not the best advice.
