I got a 2008 accord with engine code j35z2. The motor is just about junk but online can only find the j35a motors. Does anyone know what would fit my car? Are all 3.5 for that year the same. I also have the vcm motor too

 

what is "junk" about your current motor?

transmission bolt patterns changed slightly with the "z" designation.

the VCM system is kind of lame. but without some good research and a skilled swap wizard around, running anything else will be a challenge.

plenty show up on ebay with search term "j35z" I can't guarantee it, but there's a good chance any VCM variant will work for you. may need to swap a few things from your old engine.
