Acura Integra 89 Questions
Hey guy's,
I have aquired an Acura Integra LS Coupe from 1989 1.6 16v but since I can't get any info here in Portugal, I need to ask about it.
Some of my questions are:
- Did they ever brought a front badge? I think the old owner glued the honda badge.
- Whats the overral badges/letterings around the car? I know mine is missing both stickers saying DOHC on both sides but I have the Acura on the left side, LS and DOHC on the right side. Is there anything else?
- Tires size for grip? I might keep the 195/60/14 for now and paint the rims but If I want to have a car meant for grip, should I upgrade to 15" and go like to 215?
- Where can I find a owners manual? My car only came with a warranty booklet and I didn't want to pay a lot of money to get a pdf...
- How can I remove the speakers panels from the doors? They have 3 bolts but after removing them, it seems stuck.
- I want to keep the original radio but on FM it advances every 2 numbers. (105.1 -> 105.3 -> 105.5). Is there a way to change this?
- My steering wheel is completly destroyed at the top. Should I pay to stitch something around the wheel or should I buy an aftermarket steering wheel? What is usually done and how can I keep the cruise control buttons If I change?
- What should I beware about the car? What are the usual things that die or break easily? The car has two little rot spots and some 2 bubbles below the paint. Worse than that, the paint is very sketchy but it's keeping the rust away. Since I can't do anything on that right now and in the future, I can't dismantle the car to paint it, I need to keep everything properly in order.
- Is there someone that still sells seat covers around the world that match the original? Older owner smoked inside the car and all the seats have cigarrette marks on them. And to clean them, what could I use at home?
- If I wanted to change the seats, are there any seats that would match the back seats?
Sorry for all this questions but I would like to really know what has been done around here since I don't know anyone that has/had the same car here in Portugal.
