I have a 2006 honda civic and the wheel is now locked i tried everyhing i can think of to try and get the key to turn in the ignition but it wont budge idk what the problem is

 

1. Wiggle the wheel right and left while you turn the key to release the wheel lock
2. You have the wrong key
3. Your ignition lock is broken and needs to be replaced
#3 sucks. Not only will you have to buy a new lock, but you will now have 1 key for the doors, 1 key for the ignition and have to get the new key programmed.
Or you have to get the ignition lock rekeyed to your old key (a locksmith can do this if they have some Honda tumblers).
Or you can get an entire lock set from another Civic and replace all the locks. I went this route on my son's Civic. Entire set for less than $100 right here on H-T.
