Installed a new ignition lock that came without the immobilizer. The car is turning over, but won't start. What do I need to do?

 

1994 Ford Probes didn't come with immobilizers.

You should be fine. Keep trying.

 

I couldn't get it to work. Called a locksmith to reprogram the keys, said that he couldn't access the ignition through the computer, and that he has had that problem before with Hondas that had ignitions replaced. Should I try to buy an ignition lock with the immobilizer? I'm kinda up s*** creek here

 

Update: I took the immobilizer off the old ignition lock and put it on the new one, had the locksmith come out and reprogram the keys...car started up just fine. All is well :D
