you could also do thermostat if it's old since you're draining coolant for the water pump anyway.

OP, you forgot the bolts for the water pump. Replace them even if the old ones look ok.

Any chance you know the bolt count? When I look them up I see 2 bolt sizes but not how many. Looking at #21 & #22

Cant recall exactly. Most of those websites will list how many you'll need. If you buy extras, save them. They're like $.75 or something...

Are these part still available at the dealer? If so, what dealer did you get them from? I'm planning on doing a timing belt change as well.

My local dealer could order them fairly quickly. Hondpartsnow was a lot cheaper though, like $200 less. I caved and just had a local shop do the belt as I was short on time.

Just a question, are you supposed to replace them or did you have them mess up on you ? I have done multiple timing belt water pump replacements on my cars, 200k + and never replaced them and haven't run into any issues yet, not doubting you just curious

I had to replace 2 of them the last time on a B18B1 due to them breaking at the bolt head. Luckily, I was able to remove it with some vise grip pliers.

yeah note bolts 21 and 22 are different lengths (thanks honda).
mixed them up and broke one off.
couldnt get it out but a liberal amount of toyota bond on the pump mating surface
took care of bidness. reviews on amazon and ebay call it the best.
