1995 Honda Accord Trunk Won’t Open

Went surfing last week and everything was fine. Went to go load up today and the trunk won’t open. I put the key in the hole and unlock it and the lock will raise then go down slowly.

I have no mechanical experience: is this something i can fix myself? I just want to surf

It's possible the linkage has slipped off the actuator. It's a couple 10mm bolts or some screws for the little handle at the bottom and to remove the larger panel it's about 6 or 8 panel clips to remove it. Just be gentle
