I have a 99 Honda Accord that was in a flash flood last week in Columbus Ohio. A neighbor told me to move my car so I did a few hours later and it started and worked fine. I let it sit for 5 days (hot weather) and today I tried to start it. I found water in my car on the floor passenger and some driver side that I shoveled out (1 hour). Then I tried to start the car.
The car won't start now. I hear the engine begin to start but it doesn't turn at all. I hear the knock of the fuel pump and recently replaced that so I think that's ok. As for electronics, the lock button no longer works on the driver side but the keyless entry works ok and windows work.
Do I have water in my engine? I checked the oil and air filter and looks dry or as it should.
Is this fixable? Any help is greatly appreciated on this.
The flood image below lasted about 1.5 hours then drained, we are at the end of two hills that got lots of water very fast 1 week ago (late August).
