Final preperations before start up
Hey guys,
First off, before I get to hopefully my final questions. I’d like to thank you all for answering my dumb questions for me. I really do appreciate it.
My question has a few parts to it. Sorry about that.
First, what’s a good way to purge old fuel out of my tank and lines? Is air getting in a problem. If so, how do I deal with that?
Second, when the car went down the only major things I replaced\fixed were the clutch, slave cylinder, power steering, and I adjusted my timing because it was a few teeth off.
What are some noises or visual things I should look for when first starting this thing up? She’s been sitting for a good 7 months. If there is any information I can give you please ask. Thank you again for taking the time to help me.

For the fuel most people including myself pulls the fuel return line , extends it into a gas can and cranks the car, if the car is not ready to run yet, you could hard wire your fuel pump or if your running a stand-alone system just tell the fuel pump to run non stop while the key is on in the program. If you don’t want to drain the fuel just add some Seafom to the fuel tank. I just cranked my car recently with 4 year old fuel and it cranked and ran great.....at the tune of a 13.20 @ 111.5 on street tires with 4 year old gas lol. All I did was add some octane booster to the tank after I cranked it
