Turn an LS teg into a GSR...
If you had a 2001 GSR and a 98 LS, and wanted to drop the engine (& tranny) from the GSR into the LS, how hard would it be to get all the electronics and everything else to match up and make it run perfectly?
I'm hoping, not hard!!

Well, since they are both OBDII and both USDM, I don't think it would be difficult at all.
It should be a direct swap, and all you should have to do is run a couple extra wires for the Vtec (Vtec solenoid and Vtec oil pressure switch). That's about it.
But to be sure... I'll just give you a bump and let someone with more experience handle this.....
(although, just to warn you... don't be supprized if your next responce is to "search". This "type" of question is asked, and answered, often).

you resleeved it and arent going turbo....man, thats crazy
After I graduate college in a year... and I see how this motor goes... and after I can save up another pile of cash... I just may a few years down the road... we will see.
ohhh but the thing is, that i am going turbo, an im just trying to figure out if its worth it to buy an LS and make it a GSR and then boost or just buy a GSR and boost
