part help confusion

Default part help confusion

my 2001 honda crv has the numbers b20 a but when trying to buy timining belt kits its saying b20b should be my motor i dont want to by the wrong one and have the incorrect teeth for the belt or not have the water pump fit any advise

All CRVs 2001 and older use the same belt: Honda 14400-P7J-004

Your engine should be a B20Z (1999-2001). The B20B was in the CRV for the 1997-1998 model years. They both take the same belt.
