CAM SHAFT BOLTS - Please Help
Need to take off the camshaft to replace a rocker arm. Problem is I can't remove 2 bolts.
the 2 (12) mm bolts on the exhaust side were stubby. Easy to remove. But intake studs that detach camshaft from head are way longer than any deep socket will fit.
Ive seen videos of people removing the camshaft with impact - but I can't get a deep socket over it. Is there some sort of deep deep socket tool 1991 Honda Accord users must use to extra these bolts?
They are not broken, they are simply too long for deep socket to get- and I can afford to strip them.
Any/all genuine help answers is greatly appreciated here,

If you are referring to the rocker assembly studs (cam caps) that also hold down the valve cover, they are a bit long, They are1 1/4" to the base of the nut, my Stanley 12mm x 3/8" drive deep socket works. What size sockets are you using 1/4" or 3/8" drive? The 3/8" or 1/2" drive deep sockets will fit over the threaded end. I doubt that a 1/4" drive deep socket will work.
thanks - but fixed issue.
I was referring to the large bolts that do not come off - they're actually the valve cover studs.
I went to a junk yard and asked a guy who simply pulled out his hammer and whacked the rocker assembly loose.
This idiot manager at Oreillys had me believing there was a special deep deep socket tool just for this occasion. He said he bought the tool at sears.
Naturally I go to sears and they don't know whats up. Dude laughs at me.
Sad thing was it took me 2 days of bike riding around to find this out.
I should prank call that manager from oreillys for a week straight.
Nah, not worth my time.
Managed the rocker assembly off after that
thanks for trying to help
