Default 92 Eg with ZC swap Po6 loss of power

I don't post much bc I know how to search and I'm pretty mechanically inclined. The last couple of days I have been doing research on this. I bought this car as is.
92 Civic EG Hatch with a ZC SOHC swap and Hydro trans. It had a PO5 ECU in it but I gave me the "wait to start" thing with the capacitors since I bought it. So I bought a PO6 ECU, bc since it is a 1.6L SOHC I figured it would be a better ECU to run with. I purchased a rebuilt PO6 ECU and the 4 wire O2 and the wire harness from Rywire.com for the O2 so everything was as stock as possible.

So with all that being said...the car hasn't run properly since the ECU swap and 4 wire O2. It starts fine, idles rough and eventually idles smooth.... if left at idle for a min or 2, it starts to spit and sputter, and nearly wants to die then revs really high..and continues this spit, sputter and high rev repeatedly.... under load it has loss of power till I'm above 4k and opens up like nothing is wrong..and its driveable but I've gotta keep the RPMs high otherwise it wants to spit and sputter and have loss of power.

No Cel has popped up, I've been hoping for one but I got nothing.... I'm at loss here... I'm no noob when it comes to Hondas.. If anything I guess I'll be purchasing a PO5 ECU and returning it back to a Single wire O2. Thos are the only 2 things I changed.

Thanks in advance....

not all heroes wear capes.

A couple years ago I helped my brother do a Z6 swap into a '90 wagon. I did all the wiring myself (trust me, i'm an enginerd) so I know everything was hooked up properly. but, even with a P28 basemap on a P06 (chipped, VTEC converted) it would start and run, but choke and buck when we drove it around.

had a friend with a chip burner do a quick and dirty street tune. we tried a few different basemaps and tweaks until we got a combo that worked. it was something off the wall JDM D15B or something, and we really didn't understand why it worked but the power felt right for a stock Z6 and it ran fine for four years (until the #2 rod put a new "access port" in the front of the block).

my point is double check all your wiring and other basics like cam and ignition timing (with a timing light), vacuum leaks, plug gap, fresh gas ect. then maybe think about chipping the ecu and getting it tuned even if it's just a quick street tune to iron things out.

well..it ran perfectly beside the wait to start issue... and I don't care if its fast. I just want it to run properly. I don't really want to get into chipping it and tunes.. My CRX has all that.. this is just a daily driver to work and back and some light travel...
It went from running perfectly to **** after the ECU swap and O2 upgrade... I drove this car from California before the swap with no issues..I put a new ECU and changed the O2 and it went to ****. I double checked all the wires were correct... The Rywire harness is a damn near plug and play add-on. it was too easy... but hasnt run right....

Hondamark35 so I went and double checked my wiring.... everything was wired as to a post here on honda-tech about wiring a 4 wire O2 to the ECU... there are several posts about it. so I double checked the wiring per those post and google... So everything was wired to those post...I had to wait until lunch to give Rywire.com a call to make sure what I had was correct. This would be backing up the google search for correct wiring... They sent me an email with their wiring and low and behold my ground wire is wrong. So after moving the ground wire to its proper grounding location... she runs and drives just fine. I think it was grounded to the TPS sensor and it was causing interference... thank you for making me not double check but triple check.. guess you can't always believe whats on the internet.

Sweet! Yeah I started my research here when looking for wiring info but ended up buying a used factory electrical troubleshooting manual to make sure I had it right.

I've wasted so much time trying to find some crazy, convoluted cause only to find something simple like a disconnected wire or broken bolt... Always start simple!
