Default b7 to zc dohc swap question!!!

Hi there!....i´m really newbie , im from argetina and i got a 92 civic dx 4 dr.
Here is a version of the 5th gen civics that comes with a d16a9 engine, the black top zc dohc. I´m want to swap that engine into mi dx with the p06 ecu, but i dont know if the swap is plug and play. I have engine, trans and ecu but i dont have wiring, can i run the d16a9 engine with the wiring and ecu of the dx?

Please i need help, we dont have resources or information in swaps.

Thanks!

im not 100% about the harness, but it should work. and you should use the ECU that you're running with the a9, i think it's a p29?

Yeah you can reuse the D15B7 harness and the P06 ECU, the p06 is far from optimal though, the fuel cuttoff is way too early. If you have the proper ECU (P29 it will plug right in, but you need to convert fron a 4 wire O2 sensor to a single wire.

Edit, what country are you from? A friend of mine had a JDM OBD1 ZC in his 5th gen hatch and I did a lot of research on the engine, I thought they were only available in EG5 Si civics in japan? Nevermind, Argentina, hmm, cool.

Thanks for the quick response!...y look into a SI and the ECU is a P29, and yes im from Argentina in those years some people import them into the country.
I must reuse my wiring because here its imposssible find a wire harness from and SI, will something fail with the p06 and dx wiring?

Thanks a lot!

Nothing will fail, but the engine wont run as good as it should. You can reuse the original wiring harness with the P29 ECU, you just need to modify it slightly

Your welcome good luck with your swap
