Flashing CE light & misfire

Flashing CE light & misfire
I have a 2010 Crosstour V6 with 125K miles The CE light started flashing and the car idled very rouh. Should I tow it to my mechanic or risk the 10 mile drive - I am afraid this is a precursor to the timing belt snaping
