Default Yo Accord folks! Explain this for me!

I had a 1993 Accord EX Automatic as my first car.

A friend of mine got a 1996 Accord V6 Automatic soon after.

We raced each other from 0-80mph, and I beat him. Maybe around 1-2 cars or so. How is it that I beat him and his bigger Motor? Is it because of the weight difference? I think my Accord was equipped with the F22 motor? Not quite sure. I wasn't into CARS that much when I had the Accord...

Cool. I LOVED my Accord when I had it. It was pretty damn quick for a 4 Cylinder Sedan Automatic Car. Damn I miss it...

By the way... What motor did the 93 Honda Accord EX have? F22A1?

I've heard that the 5th gen I4s are quicker in the quater mile than the V6s. I believe it is because the V6 is made more for low end torque and geared accordingly. That was the first time they had a V6 in an Accord too(actually 95 was the first year). I belive it was derived from the legend which was a heavy car to begin with. The I4s are much lighter and make their power at higher rpms. There is not a tremendous HP difference between the two. I'm not sure but isn't your I4 135-140 HP? The V6 is 170 HP in the fifth gens.
