Hi, i have a 2000 civic si (Canadian version which is a U.S. ex) and am in the middle of replacing the trunk latch assembly and cylinder lock with a new key. The old key never unlocked the trunk... and i just realized why... there is no lever or wire to connect the key assembly to the latch assembly!!! It didn't come with either new parts i got, nor can i find it online! Does anyone know where i can find this to order online?

 

your best bet may be a local junk yard

 

OK, so it turns with the key, but does not unlock? Or it doesn't turn with the key either?

And ... yes junkyard is best. Likely the same part for coupes and sedans. So easy to find. And super cheap. But check on torontohondaparts.com to be sure.
