Good evening! I searched around on this forum and similar but was unable to find what I was looking for.

To start from the beginning a few days ago I got in my 99 accord in the morning and turned the key and it made a rapid clicking noise similar to what I would expect if the battery was dead. I tried a few more times with no success. finally on the 5th or 6th try it turned over and started like normal and I drove it that day with no problems. Next day the same thing happened but this time it would not start no matter how many times I tried it. Then just for kicks and giggles I flipped on the headlights and gave it another try. Started right up no problem. Next day it seemed back to normal and I was driving during the day with my headlights off and all the sudden I lost all power and the car died. pulled over on the side of the road and tried to start it. This time however it was not clicking it was fully turning over and nothing. It would not start. So I turned the headlights on and it started immediately. Drove it with no problems.
Anybody have any idea what would cause behavior like this? Any help is appreciated!
