Yeah I didn't want to assume either.

Educated guess looks like a D16Z6 with a D15B7/8 exhaust header. But without the casting codes, no one can be sure.

Looks like a y8 valve cover, z6 head a6 plug wires and corvette grease and grime

Post the pics of the head casting stamps. It's right above the exhaust manifold. Pxxx stamp typically.

I'm going with Y8 style head based on the shape of the water outlet/distributor flange area.
