Icon5 AC Compressor Cycling

I have a 1.8L EX 2014 - first Civic - I notice while in park the AC compressor is on for 10 seconds then off for 5 seconds. The unit is blowing cold air no problem. The outside temp is 90F humidity is high. Is this normal for this to cycle as described? It has never had any problems I have 72,000 miles. This normal or could I have some compressor or evaporator problem??

The system is designed to cycle when the evaporator reaches near freezing temperatures to prevent icing. It will also cycle or shut off if the system pressure is too low from a leak or low ambient temps, or exceedingly high from an overcharge or cooling condition. If your system is cooling well, especially for 90f, don't worry about it. It's running exactly as designed.
