My 98 Lude has been making this really annoying rattling sound which keeps getting louder and it is really starting to drive my crazy. The sound is coming from somewhere in the ceiling. I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion. I have no idea how to go about taking apart the ceiling in my car. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Does it rattle when the sunscreen in the moonroof is closed, or only when it's open? My sunscreen rattles in the open position, so I just leave it closed...

I haven't been able to get mine to stop rattling. It only does it when the sunroof is open. My suggestion is to either keep it closed or turn your radio up extremely loud to drown out the noise.

 

I've tried closing the sunscreen on the moonroof, but it still rattles. I have been just turning up the radio but I can still hear it sometimes.

 

Try and tighten all the moonroof parts. Thats probably what it is.

 

OOH, I never thought of that. The rattles really only appears when I'm driving on a bumpy road, so that makes me think nothing living is causing it (at least I hope).

 

It's a honda not a bimmer, it rattles...get used to it.
