[1998 Accord LX 2.3 overheating
I just bought this honda 3 weeks ago.I drove it just one day and took it in to the paint shop.Got it back from the paint shop and I saw leak coming from the thermostat housing.I changed the thermostat, the gasket and the thermostat housing gasket. The leak then stopped from that area. When it overheats, it squirts coolant from the overflow. I then went ahead and changed the Radiator cap. This car is still over heating. The fan comes on when the AC is on .It also comes on without the AC being on.I am thinking a clogged radiator but I may be wrong. Both the upper and lower radiator hoses are HOT at normal temp or when it is about to overheat. The only way to bring down the temp is to run the idle around 1500 rpms. The question is , why is it spitting coolant from the overflow.I watched youtube and while filling the rad with coolant, I opened the bleeder valve to make sure coolant will flow through in telling me that the system was bled.Could a clogged radiator do this? There is no "milk " in the oil.
Is there supposed to be 2 fan settings for this speed.
My Lexus Ls 400 will do the same thing but it will be fine once I bleed it when hot. This car here.......................freaking headache. My Corolla is not even like this.I am starting to regret buying this car.

did you completely bleed the coolant system after you replaced the thermo? it took 30 to 45 minutes for my system to bleed all the air after my heater hose sprung a leak.
