I'm having problem with my car. My distributor dies after a week and a half then I get it replace with a brand new one but does it again. Can anyone help?

What is failing in the distributor ?
because inside several parts can fail in which can be replaced. If a mech. is just saying its dead there not checking it correct, the Coil could die which is the most common, the ICM second and there's the ignition rotor and then there's a magnetic pick up I believe there's 2 that when those fail the distributor is no good.
