I have a 1991 honda accord. we just put in new motor. check engine light was not working so i fixed that problem. The check engine light stays on all the time. Checked for ecu codes and found the code 1. this is oxygen sensor code. replaced the oxygen sensor but can not clear the code. any help or info would be greatly helpfull.

 

check for continuity between the O2 sensor connector and ECU pin for the O2 (you may need to do some searching for that one if you don't have the service manual.) make sure the wires are making a good connection and that the ground shield is intact and undamaged.

 

ended up changing the whole wiring harness. The old harness had several problems. Thank you for the posts.
