Default GsR motor hitting hood

hello guys I know this topic has been beat to death but trying to clarify things. I just bought a 94 civic si hb w a car swap and it has hasport motor mounts. The valve cover seems to be hitting the hood. Did the previous owner get the wrong kit? Which ones exactly are needed? Im doo g a b18cR jdm swap within three weeks and want to make sure it sits right. Please let me know which ones exactly you guys are running with no issues. After the swap I want to get that hood fixed and painted. Thanks

might need to check your engine mounts and make sure they are not worn out or broke. I have the same swap and no problem. The only thing that ever hit my hood was my turbonetics wastegate on a cast drag manifold. Set your e brake and put your car in gear (forward and reverse ) and see if you have much engine movement as you start to release the clutch

Hasports are unlikely to go bad, but doesn't hurt to check. Are you sure they are genuine hasports?

I have heard that in some cases, the webbing under the hood must be cut, or you can raise the rear of the hood with hinge spacers.

I did my swap 15 years ago, so I can’t remember exactly what I have, we did not have as many options back then

/\ lol. b swaps do not interfere with the hood on a civic. hasport, hardrace, oem combos, never seen an issue... unless the incorrect mounts are being used.

That motor n harness is going bye bye but want to make sure the next motor is good to go within the next two weeks. I guess I’ll have to see what’s going on with em see if the motor is moving while having brake up in first and rev etc ?

Mine hit with stock mounts when I did my GSR swap back in '98. I trimmed and hammered up the under structure and it no longer hit. HASport mounts were no different.
