Default Honda Civic Coupe LX 2004 oil leak

Tried my best to get a good shot.
Hey,
i have an oil leak on the left side between the transmission and the engine. It seems like it comes from something above not on the bottom of the transmission. the engine itself is clean only the transmission is covered with an oil film. Could it be the Cover that seals the engine between the EGR valve? (I don’t know the name of this black cap) because this Cap or cover or whatever is oily.

Common for these to fail. When Honda switched from a distributor to coil ignition they put a cheap plastic cap in its place with a rubber ring that fails with age. You can easily replace with a small flat head screwdriver and an OEM part, or you can do what I did; carefully pop out the old cap and smear a thin bead of RTV around the perimeter of the cap to compensate for the deteriorated rubber.
