Default Droop’s FB6 Build

I picked up a 2015 Si sedan last month and am loving it. I still have my 1995 Civic EX sedan that I’m slowly building on here as well but am enjoying this little pocket rocket. It was a one owner car that was owned by the finance manager from the dealership. Completely stock, perfect platform. My EX is going for a bit of a stanced look but this car I would like to track. Not trying to be the fastest or even beat the guy next to me. Just want to have fun with this car. So far all I’ve done is add tint and Skunk2 lowering springs. The springs give it a pretty good drop and the ride great. I might concentrate on my EX now but we’ll see. Thanks for checking it out.

I love lighting but didn’t want to go with the usual white led upgrade so I tried something different. Not cuz I’m trying to be different, I was just tired of white so I went with Purple. Map, dome, license plate, reverse, DRL’s, and fog lights are all now purple. I get hella complements plus I personally love the look. I stayed with 6k on my headlights so I could use that argument “when” I get pulled over, lol.

Hopefully I can squeeze this in here with all the traffic I’m getting but I also ordered a K&N Typhoon SRI and Full Race catback.

Hopefully it’s not too quiet.

You chose high quality parts there... of the top four basic mods, you have purchased number three and four in order of HP gain. The first will be a FlashPro and the second will be the down-pipe (header just isn't the right term since it is just one big pipe LOL). I suggest you order a down-pipe and a FlashPro, install the exhaust parts and take the car in for a quality tune.

It’s good to know so far I’ve picked good performance mods even if it’s in the wrong order, lol. It’s just that I live in California and am pretty much at a stand still for “legal” mods. I’m wondering if I can get away with ordering a down pipe and Flashpro and return it to stock tune when it comes time to smog since the down pipe can’t really be seen during visual inspection. Would it still pass the sniff test?

Would it still pass the sniff test? (Even a tuned car can pass the sniff test, but this is not likely the test you will get. A plug in data port test will likely be what you encounter in California... switching back to a stock tune will set off a cat code as soon as the readiness is set and this will fail you. The visual inspection is another issue.)
If you can "trick" the secondary O2 sensor with some electronic gizmo or O2 fouler, you might get away with it. Or, you move to Arizona or Nevada and REALLY love your car again. LOL

So if I’ve installed a down pipe and have it tuned, and return the tune back to stock when it’s time to smog, that will throw a code? If so then there’s no point cuz any check engine light is an automatic fail.

The stock tune will be looking for a functioning cat... the down pipe doesn't have one, so you will get a code for the missing cat unless you can "trick" the stock programming long enough to pass smog... that is, no check engine light for at least 100-200 miles after a reset.

I added some Sequential led strips on top of headlights. 6k white while ACC power is on, Sequential amber when turn signal is on. Had to take the whole front end apart.

To give an idea of where I mounted them.

Very bright head on.

Sorry, no vid clips of turn signal in action.

Does all this other crap but I only keep it in purple. Might rock the red with red license plate lights, tho.
$27 for the truck led strip, $20 for headlight strips.
Some might consider this rice and that’s cool. But I absolutely love lighting.
The trunk strip stays on purple, but does the sequential flow in amber when turn signal on, red while I brake, and 6k white while I reverse.

My .2 cents about my Full Race catback. Sometimes I don’t like how quiet it is. It’s literally as quiet as stock on cold starts but gets a bit louder as it warms up. Go figure. The more you floor it the quieter it gets. I hear my SRI over any exhaust note. What I do like about it is when I do hear an exhaust note, it’s low AF. As in low tone, rumble. It sounds like a quality exhaust over a cheap one. For the record I have a $270 Yonaka catback on my 95 EX.
And at least in my case, since I have Skunk2 lowering springs, the piping was making contact with the spring. Had to “massage” it a bit to get clearance.

This happen to anyone else?

I added a Seibon carbon fiber hood. I love the subtle look of carbon fiber accents on a black car. Now I’m being told I really need hood pins for safety. I’ve driven at hwy speeds with no problem or rattling. Do I really need them? I hate the thought of drilling into this hood. Cost me my left 🥜.

Got some purple wheels to keep with my purple theme. 17x8 with 215/45’s. I love the look.

Gonna get rid of the red bear to help it flow.

^thanks!!
in regards to my vented hood, my car sat exposed in a down pour and it started up just fine. It even drove fine when i has to run an errand and it was still coming down pretty good.
