Default Air Conditioning equal pressure on low and high side

Why would you have the same pressure on the low side and high side of the AC system? The compressor and metering device have been changed and the compressor is engaging and both high and low pressures rise equally and stay the same pressure when the compressor comes on on a 2006 Honda Odyssey

First, if this is for a Honda Odyssey you probably won't get good results posting in the Civic/Del Sol sub forum.

Second, I just went through a lot of troubleshooting with my own AC system. Was a new or used compressor installed? From all of the research I found, if the compressor is engaging and the pressures are equal on both the low and high side, the pressures are being bypassed internally on the compressor aka the compressor is junk.
