Hi Guys,

Recently I have noticed that my car shakes (chassis) when accelerating hard, for example when in 2nd and 3rd gear. At first I thought it might have been my bent wheel, in which I took of and replaced with another one for testing purposes. Shaking was still apparent. I then had my wheels balanced however the car still continues to shake under acceleration. I have also had a custom cat back exhaust system done.

Do you guys have any idea what could be causing the shaking ?

how many miles? Mine shakes a bit too, never experienced this on my old civics but on my 06 civic si and now my 14 accord do it. If your tie rods and ball joint are tight, check the engine mounts. Lastly it could be out of balance cv axles. No way to balance unless getting new ones. Aftermarket ones are a hit or miss.

The car has 48000 miles or about 78000km on it. This is making me wonder how it could be cv joints for example on a relatively low mileage car ??
Do you think that the louder exhaust could have a role in making the car shake under load ??

Only if the exhaust wasnt properly secured. You will also have sound vibrations with louder exhaust too.
