Default alternator/ other possible issues

So I have been having weird idling issues in my all stock 95 civic with a d15b7. To start off I already have some vibrations and probably will be replacing the mounts soon. As I'm idling in traffic, with AC on, headlights on, radio, etc AND holding the brake...It's almost as if the car is bogging down and vibrating under the load. As soon as I let my foot off the brake it gets better, then turn off ac it gets a little better and so on. I am wondering if this could be the alternator working as intended or something completely different like the brake booster. A few months ago I helped the idle by cleaning the IAC. Would like to know if anyone has had the same experience or similar.

Default Re: alternator/ other possible issues

my 95 civic did the same thing, the vibration is from the rpm dropping a little. The headlights would even dim a little. bought the car with 138k miles with a REALLY OLD looking alternator inside. I figured it was on its way out.

Sold it at 180K miles with the same alternator in it, never had to charge the battery. Guess its just how these older cars work.

if youre really concerned just go to a parts store and have them load test your alternator
