Please help!
I own a 97 Acura cl 2.2 Manual that recently wouldn’t start. After having it at a shop they told me the “keyless entry unit” wasn’t grounding. So I basically need a new one.
After more research I found what I believe to be the unit under the passenger seat.
So so my question is, how could that unit stop my car from starting and where can I get a new unit at? I can’t seem to find one online

It has a keyless/security control unit. If the car doesn't start, it may be due to the security control unit not sending the ground signal to the Starter Cut Relay.
If it is due to the control unit and you can't locate a replacement control unit; at the control unit, cut the starter cut relay control wire (usually a grn wire) and splice a spare piece of wire to it, then ground the wire. There is a ground bolt for the unit located under the carpet area of the passenger seat.

I really appreciate the help! But I am a little confused, you said “cut the starter cut relay control wire (usually a grn wire)” which wire should it cut? If not both.
Also, sense it is the control unit not being able to ground. Would I be basically redirecting the ground and creating my own ground for it?

There is only one relay control wire from the security unit. I don’t have the CL circuit diagram; but, on an Accord, that wire is Grn.
Since the security unit may not be sending the ground,
you will be directly grounding that wire.
