Why do OBD1 conversion?
Hello,
Newbie here. I'm recently looking into D15 to B20 conversion. You can stay with OBD0 ECUs (PR4, PM6), then why people do OBD1 conversion? What is the benefit of doing it? More tuneability? Better engine control? More ECU choices?

All popular tuning platforms for these engines, Hondata, Neptune etc. run on obd1.
hay yuta seems like no one really answered the question haha
the truth is that 1 those mpfi obd0 ecus are not to easy to find anymore lots of folks now a days dont even know they excist
2 the obd1 ecus work at a faster pace then the obd0 does so when you hit that gas peddle you get your car moving faster
it adjust the air fuel faster then the obd0 does but not by much but yes faster
3 some of the obd1 ecus have the vtec fuction or can have the vtec fuction added on with a chip
the obdo ecu you would have to get the jdm ones for that to work and thats a hard ecu to find
if youd like to hear reasons 4-5-6 let me know but i think you get the idea
