Just bought a 96 GSR. What now?
I just bought a 96 GS-R integra. It has 86k miles and the engine just had the radiator replaced because it was leaking. They said that it needs a timing belt and brakes due to age and the tires are completly shot. I was thinking of going with the toda racing timing belt and at the same time replacing the water pump. I am thinking about replacing the rotors and the pads but I am not sure what kind to get.
The other thing is that I am going to use this car for a daily driver so I cant be working on it 24/7. But I am thinking about going with a jr supercharger from ebay (maybe). More likely I am going to be going with the AEM that is already on the car and DC headers. What do you think I should get for the exhaust.

If you need a place to get your maintenance done, drop by the shop I work at, Precise Auto Care off of Lafayette Rd. in Santa Clara. I'd use honda's timing belt and pump, as for as rotors go, i'd try to get brembo's solid rotors. If the rotors are still within spec, we can do refinishing on them. If your going with jrsc i don't think your exhaust sizing is as important, it will mostly depend on what you prefer with sound and looks. I used to run dc headers on my civic and I liked them a lot.
hmm, i dont know if it would buy a supercharger off of ebay, i think i would only buy a used super/turbo charger off of someone i know, or someone in the area so i can whoop some *** if i get screwed.
btw, when i first got my GSR i was all about the JRSC, but after spending alot of time here on Honda-Tech i would never strap any poweradder except a turbo on to my car.
do a search for JRSC vs Turbo, supercharger, supercharger vs turbo, etc for some good threads about why (because if you ask which is better in the FI forum you will get flamed)
GOOD LUCK!

Well the main reason that I wanted the supercharger was that I dont have to cut into the oil pan and it is very easy to remove. The turbo is nice but I think with the miles on my car I might be out of luck until a rebuild. I am going to do a search since I am new to the Integra line. I just got my 2001 CL-S lemoned so I do know about Acura and all of there interesting things that can be done. Thanks for all your help.
