Default Purposefully overfilled manual transmission bad idea?

Wasn't shifting into reverse or first gear smoothly and had the idea of tilting car on jack so I could overfill by like 0.3 us quarts thinking mechanisms would be more oiled. Normally would take 1.9 and I put 2.2 probably.

Will I lose horsepower from drag and overheat the gearbox from more drag? Will I damage the seals? Will excess fluid escape somehow? Smelled like burned transmission fluid a few days after driving and getting out of my car.

Well theres good news it shifts into every gear smoother even 1st and reverse smooth. Could just be from New oil but could be since I overfilled eveeytbings getting more lubricated. Am I going to burn up my gearbox though or cause damage though?

Overfilling the trans case can cause the fluid to foam up, which isn't good. Can also cause an increase in pressure when you're actually making the shifts, which in turn increases the heat on the gears.

Basically, no it's not a great idea as a fix.
