Default Starting issue 14 stick shift

So i have an accord sport stick shift and no push button. I see issues with automatics with push buttons. Anyone else have issue where its intermittent. It does happen all the time and sometimes takes 2 to 15 key turns before it kicks over. Wife drove it yesterday and she said could been coincidence but took it out 3rd gear to neutral and started. Ive always put car in neutral before a start and you need press on clutch to crank car which would bypass any such gear issue. I drive far and alot for work and dont want to be stranded two house away. Anyone seen or know a fix for this? I know dealer is going to say if not happening i cant diagnose.

Mine has a lot of mile and no starting issue. Check the clutch switch. Could be the starter letting go.

That’s what I thought because stick shift requires press of clutch to start. Isn’t there way to disable that like they do when you install remote starts?
