Default Big injectors on stock engine

I have a 90 civic hatch that is wired for b series engine obd1. I have a engine that is obd0 and I am converting it to obd1. I swapped alternator and wired it correctly and I know that I also need to swap injectors to obd1. I plan on going turbo as soon as I can and I don’t want to spend money on stock injectors for obd1 just to upgrade in the near future. I was wondering if I could just go ahead and buy bigger injectors and run them on a completely stock motor. (I have a ecu on crome). And if so what injectors would be ideal for up to 300whp

This is a bad idea. Don't put in the larger injectors until you can tune for them.

so you couldn’t tune bigger injectors down to a stock out put?

Sorry, I missed that you were running a tuneable ECU. If that's the case, yes, you can put in larger injectors and tune for them. Just because you are using an OBD1 ECU doesn't mean you need to run OBD1 (saturated) injectors. You can use stock OBD0 (P/H) injectors with a resistor box. If your Civic is an Si, there should already be a resistor box. If it is a DX or STD, it won't have one.

Most larger aftermarket injectors are P/H, so you should probably plan to use a resistor box with the OBD1 ECU. For 300 whp, 550's would probably be about as small as I would suggest going, and it may be better to try and find something a little larger if you think your engine can handle a little more than 300 hp. Just know that at idle, a larger injector is going to have a hard time metering out the small amount of fuel needed. I ran 550's on a turbo B18 and it did not like to idle on its own until it was warmed up.
