My 94 LX 5 speed wagon cranks but won't start..... As the title suggests......
I have spark. I have no fuel pressure. I immediately assumed it was the main relay and replaced it but still no start. I've just replaced the fuel filter so that's no clogged. Recently the car has stalled a few times while driving so I'm assuming the fuel pump has finally died. I just filled the tank too! Boooo! Before I try to figure out how to get this tank down to replace the pump I'm looking for any other ideas anyone might have.
I believe you can access the fuel pump by taking out the rear seatbacks. To do this, fold the seats down and pull up on the bottom left (driver's side) corners of the trim on the back of the seats:
This should expose some bolts that hold the seatbacks to the hinges. There is also a bottom bolt (29 in the picture) holding the driver's side seatback in. After these are out of the way, you should be able to see the fuel pump under the carpeted floor of the cargo area. Most likely you can get at the wiring from there, and jump it to the battery.

Man. I thought the same thing. I know that on later models the fuel pump is integral with the sender and I was all cocky when I pulled out the seats to expose......... a fuel sender only. The pump is over to the driver side a bit and you have to drop the tank to get to it.
I must admit, I've had a few moments where I wanted to go full ghetto and buzz a hole in the body to peel open and expose the pump. But I'm going to do it properly. I'll be dipped in ****, but I am.
Should still be able to drain the tank from the sender port to make this a less mis r able job. It's really no worse than doing a pump on a pickup, which has an even bigger tank
