Cool air (not a/c) not working.
06 Civic
My A/C compressor is broken and I don't intend to fix it. Even without A/C I still expected for the vents to blow cool air when the dial is set to its coldest setting and instead the air is always significantly warmer than even the ambient temperature outside the vehicle. Wondering if there is another problem that could be fixed or if this is something that relies on the A/C system.
if you don't plan on using ac you can bypass it with a dx belt
the 06's do have the updated belt routing which was part of an early tsb, hopefully you got the update
when changing the dial should be able to hear the buzz from the blend door moving, if not, it might be damaged, you can do the self diagnosis to check the system

without AC and dial turned to cool..you will still get hot air... unless you live in northern Canada and its cold out already.
dial on cold. hot outside..you get hot air.
