your vtec sensor is not being recoginized. that is causing your redline at 6500. what ecu are you using?

Limp mode usually limits you to 3500rpm or so.

mine did the same thing. it could be many things. Mine was just that the wires for the vtec were not on properly. Ones you see what code it is pulling you might have your answer.

My mis-wired vtec oil pressure switch in my swap put me in limp mode and a 6500 cutoff

yes a knock sensor can possibly, sometimes put you in safe mode. However most of the time..... no. I drive around with CEL 23 and I can vtec. Check to see if the vtec pressure solenoid is free of debris, you can remove it and clean out the oil screen. Make sure you have plenty of oil. and that the wires are hooked up. if everything is ok, make sure you have a p13 ecu.

check that out...

btw i recently done my swap, my vtec is finally working after i replaced my fault ECU.. the First ECU they gave me was faulty, (had 4ws input as well!) the second P13 ecu they gave me didnt come with it

im getting a code 41 i think its the heater oxygen sensor.. but the car red lines at 7,500....

do you feel the torque in your car, my car sorta feels sluggish compared to my friends 4th Gen Prelude H22A

Ryu without your O2 sensor completely hooked up your car is going to feel sluggish at anything under 4k. After that it'll scream. Make sure you get it hooked up properly and you should be fine..

As for the vtech woes, if you are not getting any CEL's then check to make sure that the oil level is good, car is warm, solenoid operational. Stuff like that.

is this the one that connects to the exhaust pipe right?

i got a feeling its got to do with the pin swapping of a6 and a11...

i did it today, but no effect maybe i had to reset the ecu?

i just reset the ECU... no more code now! yay
but car still sluggish..

my swap had no vtec when I finished. Rewired
the pressure switch and now it works.

Do you have the secondaries hooked up. if so how
did you do it?
