2013 Honda Civic Sedan maintenance question
Hi,
I have a 2013 Honda Civic Sedan with 71,000 miles. I bought it new and have had it just over 5 years. How often should I change the brake fluid, transmission fluid, and service the cooling system in my car? I drive the car mostly on the freeway 60 miles to work and back Monday thru Friday. I live in the Bay Area, California. I baby the car, don't gun the engine and take it easy on the brakes as much as possible. Honda service told me:
Brake fluid exchange every 3 years (never done this)
Cooling system service every 5 years/60K miles (never don't this)
Transmission fluid change due at 60K miles (never done this)
What do you think? Absolutely necessary to stick to maintenance schedule? Or not? Advice?
Thanks.

Yes stick to schedule. Brake fluid attracts water thatrusts the components. Flush every two years on some brands(MINI). Coolan develps an electric charge that eats at metal. Transmossion just needs clean oil like any mechanical device
